1. What storage is used
Cookies and local storage are small browser records. They can remember choices and retain a Squad Builder lineup between visits. A cookie is usually sent with later requests to this domain. Local storage stays on your device and is read by scripts on bestgamingofworld.xyz. Neither tool is a substitute for an account: we do not need you to register in order to read editorial pages.
2. Essential storage
The cookie-preference record is necessary to remember whether you accepted optional analytics. The saved-squad record enables the Save Team feature requested by the user. These items are strictly necessary for the preference banner and the Squad Builder to work as described. They are not used to advertise third-party products.
3. Optional analytics
If introduced, analytics will measure aggregate site use and will only activate after consent. The current interface provides Accept All and Essential Only controls. Optional measurement would cover page views, approximate region, and technical errors so we can keep the Polish and English mirrors usable. It would not be a licence to sell a list of football fans.
4. Managing preferences
Use Cookie settings in the footer to reopen the preference banner. You can also remove browser storage through your browser settings. Changing your mind from Accept all to Essential only should stop optional scripts on later visits, provided the preference record can still be written. If you block all storage, the banner may appear again because the site cannot remember the last choice.
5. Effect of disabling storage
The site remains readable, but saved teams and remembered preferences may be lost or reset. Match simulation and formation tabs still run in the page session. What you lose is continuity: a lineup saved last week, and the fact that you already answered the cookie banner.
6. Cookie versus local storage
Cookie preference is stored so the banner does not nag on every click. Squad lineups use local storage because eleven players, chemistry, and formation are too large for a small preference cookie. Both live under this site’s origin. Clearing site data for bestgamingofworld.xyz removes both at once.
7. Storage keys and purpose
The preference key records whether optional analytics may run. The squad key records the team you asked the builder to save. We do not hide additional tracking keys behind those two jobs. If a future release adds a named key, this page will list it in the next dated update rather than relying on silent scripts.
8. Duration
Preference records last until you change them or clear the browser. Saved squads last until you overwrite them or clear storage. Session-only technical cookies, if the host sets any for security, expire when the browser session ends. We do not set multi-year advertising cookies.
9. Third-party cookies
Embedded social buttons are ordinary links, not share widgets that drop a tracker before you click. If you follow a link to Instagram, Facebook, or X, that destination may set its own cookies. Those cookies are governed by the destination’s policy, not by this page. We do not currently load third-party ad networks in the article or legal templates.
10. Browser and device controls
Desktop and mobile browsers let you delete cookies, block third-party cookies, or restrict local storage per site. Private or incognito windows usually drop storage when the window closes. Those controls are stronger than our banner: if the browser refuses storage, we cannot override it.
11. Signals such as Do Not Track
Browsers may send a Do Not Track or global privacy-control signal. Where the law requires us to treat a recognised opt-out as a refusal of optional analytics, we will do so. Until optional analytics are switched on, the practical effect is the same as choosing Essential only: measurement scripts stay off.
12. Squad Builder and match simulation
Building an XI, testing chemistry, and running a simulation can happen entirely in the current page. Saving is optional. If you never press Save Team, there is no lineup record to retain. Clearing storage does not delete the editorial ratings on the site; it only removes the copy stored in your browser.
13. Relation to the Privacy Policy
This Cookie Policy explains browser storage. The Privacy Policy explains personal data in forms, mail, and logs. Read both if you want the full picture. Consent for optional analytics is not consent to sell data, and essential storage is not a hidden analytics channel.
14. Updates
This policy may change when storage technologies change. The date at the top of the page is the version you should rely on. If we add a new optional tool, we will describe it here and ask for consent before it runs. Questions can be sent to support@bestgamingofworld.xyz.
15. Contact
For storage questions, cookie-banner faults, or a request to confirm what this origin keeps in your browser after a visit, email support@bestgamingofworld.xyz. Describe the browser and whether you used the English site or the /pl/ mirror so we can reproduce the issue.
